Group Financial Reporting Accountant
Alpha Bank is currently seeking a talented individual to join the dynamic accounting and
financial reporting team, which is responsible for the preparation of the financial
statements at Group level. In particular, he/she will be part of the team preparing the
monthly, the quarterly and the annual Group financial statements (according to the
IFRS), the regulatory reports (FinRep) as well as the internal reports and analyses
addressed to the Management.
The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, able to perform in a fast-paced
environment and to deliver high-quality projects in a timely manner. The jobholder
should possess solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills along with a goal-
oriented approach.
What you will be doing
•         Preparing consolidation accounting entries.
•         Drafting reports on a consolidated basis for the regulatory authorities, in accordance
with the applicable obligations of the Group (such as FinRep).
•         Drafting notes to the Financial Statements of the Group.
•         Providing data and analyses (recurring and ad hoc) to the General Management and
to Divisions of the Bank.
•         Engaging in the preparation of ad hoc management and other types of reporting.
•         Being responsible for delegating work to junior team members and for reviewing it.
What you need to have
•         A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
•         A Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields of study will be considered a plus.
•         Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA or a local equivalent will be
considered a plus.
•         Ability to consolidate and analyze financial and non-financial data.
•         Advanced use of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•         Familiarization with the SAP platform will be considered a strong plus.
•         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously.
•         Excellent command of the English and the Greek language (both written and
spoken).
